Silan Micro made a profit of RMB 119 million in the first half of 2010

China LED chip company Silan Micro's operating income in the first half of 2010 reached 701 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 98.45%, net profit of 119 million yuan, an increase of 602.48%, earnings per share of 0.3 yuan, a return on net assets of 13.79%, a year-on-year increase 11.42%. Silan Micro expects net profit for the period from January to September 2010 to increase by 250%-300%.

Sales of integrated circuits, discrete device chips and LED device chips, which are the main business of Silan Micro, have maintained their growth. Gross profit margin increased by 6.23%, 13.17% and 13.82% respectively.

In June, the output of Silan's integrated wafers was close to 105,000, reaching the highest record in history. Silan's integration of a six-inch integrated circuit chip production line recently introduced from Japan is accelerating the installation and commissioning of equipment, and strives to contribute to the further improvement of wafer output from Q3.
