Recently, Tridonic announced that it will increase its stake in its sales subsidiary in South Africa, and its shareholding ratio will increase from 49.99% to 100%. Tridonic will acquire the outstanding shares from the former joint venture company Power Technologies (Pty) Ltd., which was officially effective on February 1, 2014.
Tridonic's South African sales company is located in Johannesburg, with a branch office in Cape Town and currently has 15 employees.
Dr. Alfred Felder, CEO of Tridonic, said, “We are pleased to announce that from now on, Tridonic will continue to sell in South Africa as a sole proprietor. In South Africa, especially in sub-Saharan Africa, we see Ruigao's intelligent lighting components business has good development potential, and we expect to further expand the market share of Tridonic in the region."
