Application of machine vision in the connector industry

Testing requirements: It is required to check if the number of PIN points (10 samples) of the connector is missing. The PIN point must be downward and cannot be reversed, as shown below.

Detection equipment: IEEE 1394 camera f=16mm/F1.4 lens, WLDR-A90-W one ring light source, one connector.

Detection parameters: Lens distance from the stage 17.8cm; ring light source 15.6cm from the stage; circular light source placed horizontally directly below the lens.

Test effect:

Conclusion: The system can not only accurately calculate the number of PIN, but also can distinguish the direction of the PIN, and can meet the requirements of high-speed detection. It is a typical detection application in the connector industry.
