Shaoxing eight main road lights will carry out energy-saving renovation

Careful citizens may find that the street lights are brighter when they pass through the urban road in Shanxi Province these two nights. The reporter learned that starting in 2008, some street sections of the urban area began to be dimmed and energy-saving renovation. Fushan West Road was the first section of reconstruction, and the project started on January 13.

In the urban area, 1069 column street lamps of 8 road sections including Jiefang Road, Yan'an Road, Lu Xun Road, Shengli Road, Labor Road, Tuyuhe Road, Fushan West Road and Shuigou Camp will be dimmed and energy-saving. It is reported that as the street trees grow taller and block the lights, the relevant departments will carry out energy-saving renovations while dimming by replacing street lights and raising lamp posts. It is expected that the entire street lamp dimming and energy-saving renovation project will be completed before the end of 2008. After the renovation, the street lamps will save about 25% on average, and can solve the problem of street trees blocking lights.
