At the beginning of the new year, Tridonic has achieved a breakthrough in the field of OLED professional lighting modules. Now it has launched a new series of OLED modules LUREON REP lighting modules. The series measures 99 x 99 mm2 and achieves a luminous flux of more than 100 lumens for the first time. In addition, LUREON REP achieves system efficiency of more than 50 lm/W neutral white, which is much higher than the system efficiency achieved by similar products on the market.
The square OLED module LUREON REP module will be available in mid-March with a color temperature of 4,000 K, featuring extremely high levels of luminosity (up to 12,000 lm/m2) and brightness (4,000 cd/m2). The new module can also be integrated into Tridonic's drive solutions.
Jörg Amelung, General Manager of Tridonic OLED Business Unit, explained, “With LUREON REP, we have successfully achieved a major breakthrough in the OLED industry. We have defined a new OLED performance category with high brightness levels and system efficiencies of over 50 lm. /W, therefore, for the first time we are using OLED to implement professional lighting applications,". In addition, excellent color rendering (CRI > 80), extremely low color angle transitions (x, y ≤ 0.005) and low chromatic aberration (MacAdam 4) will also help OLED lighting modules win the favor of the professional lighting market. Since the module thickness is less than 3mm, the OLED module is ideal for floor and ceiling lamps.
