The effective power that actually shines on the ground is only 20 to 30 watts, and the energy consumption is large and the lighting effect is also poor. Therefore, low-efficiency lighting products such as high-pressure mercury lamps have gradually been eliminated. As an efficient light source, the LED street lamp has an efficiency of more than 90%. Although it has only 30 watts, the lighting quality is improved a lot and it also saves electricity.

Last year, Wuxi Lighting Management Division replaced 1703 LED lamps in 24 new villages and communities such as New Century Garden and Cao Zhang Xincun, and the safe operation coefficient of lighting facilities was improved. Calculated at the cost of 0.882 yuan per kilowatt hour, a set of LED lights can save about 200 yuan in electricity costs in a year.
