The biggest in history - iPad Pro dismantling

As the largest iPad in history, the iPad Pro started yesterday's pre-sales on the Day of Our Own, but the iFixit, a fast-paced foreign dismantling team, has already gotten it right and unloaded eight pieces. Take a look.

By convention, look at the specific configuration of the iPad Pro before dismantling.

12.9 inch 2732x2048 display, 264 ppi;

Third generation 64-bit A9X processor and M9 coprocessor;

8 million 1080P iSight rear camera, 1.2 million 720P front camera;

802.11 a/b/g/n/ac MIMO Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2;

32GB or 128GB internal storage;

Compared to iPad Air 2, the screen has increased by 78%, thanks to the A9X processor, performance has doubled

iPad Pro Designs New Interface - Smart Connector

The iPad Pro model is A1584

Compared with Microsoft's Surface Pro 4, you can see that the iPad Pro is bigger and the Surface Pro is thicker

Similar to the products of Apple's home, slightly warm it up to melt the glue and use a suction cup and paddle to separate the screen

However, the iPad Pro screen line is placed in the middle of the entire machine and it takes a lot of effort to completely remove the screen.

Take a look at the main chips on the screen panel:

Red: Broadcom BCM15900B0 x 2;

Orange: NXP 8416A1 Touch ID sensor;

Yellow: Spectrum Swiss DP695 timer;

Green: Texas Instruments TPS65144;

Unscrew the fixed screw, open the cable, the front and rear camera can be taken down

Something that first appeared on the iPad: EMI shields, which can only be disassembled after removal

iPad Pro's headphone module is similar to iPad Air 2 and has two light sensors

The four speakers that are equipped are long and have fillers nearby. It is estimated to be used to amplify the speaker volume.

Before removing the motherboard, you need to deal with the two antennas that use MIMO technology.

After removing the various connections, the board can finally be taken down.

The main chips above the main board are:

Red: Apple APL1021 A9X 64-bit processor;

Orange: Hynix H9HCNNNBTUMLNR-NLH 16 Gb LPDDR4 Memory 2GB x 2;

Yellow: Toshiba THGBX5G8D4KLDXG 32 GB NAND flash memory;

Green: Should MPS MP67B 6-axis gyroscope and acceleration module;

Sky Blue: NXP 65V10 NFC Controller;

Blue: NXP LPC11U37 ARM Cortex-M0 microprocessor;

Purple: Apple (Cirrus Logic) 338S1213 audio codec;

Red: Ruisi Technology FL1100 4-port USB 3.0 controller;

Orange: The Asahi Electronics 339S00045 Wi-Fi module;

Yellow: NXP 1610A3;

Green: 343S00025-A1;

Sky Blue: 343S00052-A1;

Blue: Maximus MAX98721CEWV;

Purple: Fairchild Semiconductor FDMC 6683;

Next is the battery section. This time for life, iPad Pro has an amazing 10307 mAh battery capacity

The last thing that needs to be removed is the new Smart Connector. The glue is not so much...

After the dismantling is over, give a family portrait. The iFixit score given back this time is 3 points (out of ten points are the easiest to repair). In any case, the difficulty of fruit product maintenance has always been not low, you do a good job psychologically or to buy a warranty, after all, most of the cases have to be returned to the factory.
