On May 18th, the staff of the State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Institute used a multi-function electrical parameter measuring instrument to measure the power consumption of the main appliances in households under weak currents. The data show that the television is in standby mode with 0.65 watts of power and 0.5 kWh of electricity per month; the washing machine does not have a plug power of 0.4 watts, and the monthly power consumption is 0.29 kWh; and the TV set-top box has a power of 7 watts for start-up and is in standby. In this case, the power is 5.98 watts, and it is only 1 watt under working conditions...

In order to help the majority of electricity customers to save electricity expenses on weekdays and develop good electricity habits, employees of the State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Institute specially conducted this experiment to promote the use of electricity and science and electricity to customers and promote energy-saving and low-carbon lifestyles. . The staff calculated a sum of money, and the main appliances used in the family's life were in a standby state for a long period of time, and consumed about 10.6 kWh in one month. According to the average household electricity price of 0.5283/kWh, it will cost 4.5 yuan more per month and 54 yuan per year.

According to statistics, Jiangsu currently has about 31 million residents. In 2014, Jiangsu's entire society used 501.3 billion kWh of electricity. According to the average daily electricity consumption of Jiangsu last year, the annual electricity loss due to electrical standby is about 3.943 billion kwh. It can be used for nearly three days in Jiangsu.

So, how can we avoid the loss of these powers?
