Pasterack, Inc., a supplier of RF, microwave and millimeter wave products, recently introduced a new line of innovative coaxial RF probes and probe positioning hardware. These new products are ideal for signal integrity verification, chip evaluation, coplanar waveguides, circuit debugging, and test set applications.
The new range includes four coaxial RF probes with a unique design and an RF PCB probe positioner. The RF coaxial probe has a frequency performance of up to 20 GHz and a return loss performance of more than 10 dB, and uses gold-plated contacts and corresponding coaxial GSG (or GS) spring thimbles. These probes are spaced 800 and 1500 microns apart, have a 3.5 mm female connector, and can be cable mounted. In addition, it can be used manually with or without a probe positioner, and its spring thimble design allows for probing at multiple angles.
The RF PCB probe positioner is used to hold a coaxial probe and employs a magnetic mounting plate with a switch positioner switch. In addition, the positioner has an articulated joint and multi-axis positioner control. These products are ideal for microwave devices, high-speed communications, and network development.
