French lighting engineer creates lighting paintings for the Grand Canal

On the evening of February 9th, the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, which is thousands of kilometers away, is in the southernmost city of Hangzhou, such as a Chinese ink and blue painting that shines brightly.

The boat is in the middle of the painting, and the people are in the scenery. On the banks of the Hangzhou section of the 21-kilometer canal, it will be covered by red lanterns and blue-green fog. The water on the canal is reflected in the water, and the waves are painted. The colorful light boats slowly flow through the canal water surface. The boat is floating on the boat. The lively social drama sings, highlighting the hustle and bustle of the Jiangnan water town and the fascinating scenery of the canal lights.

This oriental mystery ink Danqing was named by the designer as the colored fog of the canal, and the design of the canal lighting scheme was the famous French lighting engineer Roger Narboni. In 2007, Roger Naboni was invited to Hangzhou to take charge of the design of the canal lighting. After a systematic investigation, he discovered that the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal itself had a very beautiful outline, but it became silent at night. The light on the canal is no longer aimed at light, but to use light to guide visitors to appreciate the inner temperament of the canal and the view of the canal. So, when designing the lighting scheme, Roger decided to use his own designed lighting to wake up the sleeping canal in the night and let her beauty continue in the night. He abandoned the lighting method of the light show used in the past, and chose the soft light that accords with the characteristics of the ancient canal and Hangzhou to outline the beautiful outline of the canal, depicting the ink and water of the south of the Yangtze River, and composing a soothing and elegant style. Wonderful movements.

Not only that, but the design of the Venetian lampposts and odometers along the canal is the first in China. Venetian lampposts are installed at the intersection of each river into the canal, and the color of the lights will change to amber or blue; the odometer is installed every one kilometer, Roger said, the Grand Canal is the longest in the world, engineering The largest canal, after installing the odometer, people know at a glance how far away they are from the starting point of the canal, Beijing.

The Lantern Festival Lantern Festival is a folk custom that the Chinese have followed for thousands of years. Many citizens and tourists have been attracted by the canal lights and have come to the coast to enjoy the beautiful canal night scene. The gorgeous fireworks burst into the night sky, reflecting the numerous smiles on the banks of the river; the red lanterns that celebrate the New Year's Eve of the Year of the Ox, add to the unique charm of the canal people.

Although Roger could not experience the lighting ceremony of the canal and the grand Lantern Festival in China, he just returned to France and wrote a letter: The Grand Canal is a great ancient Chinese project with the same name as the Great Wall, and I feel very Happy and proud, I imagined and designed a unique night scene for the city of Hangzhou. This is a great lighting project that is unique in the world, both in terms of volume and originality.
