Sanken Electric 22W output power LED lighting power supply listed

Sanken Electric has listed the power supply module "LSA22S42" for LED lighting with an output power of 22W. The external dimensions are 42.4mm × 274mm × 25mm, which is almost the same as the electronic ballast used in existing fluorescent lamps. Mass production has begun, with an initial monthly production of 3,000. It is scheduled to expand to a monthly output of more than 100,000 in 2011. The sample price is 6,000 yen.

The power module features a built-in power factor improvement (PFC) circuit to meet harmonic current regulations in the case of small form factors. However, the circuit adopts a single conversion method supported by a switching conversion circuit by an improved circuit configuration, instead of an active filter method using two switching conversion circuits. The power factor is as high as 0.99. It is achieved by developing new dedicated power control ICs and transformers. As a result, the number of components was successfully reduced by about 30%, and the power supply volume was reduced by about 70%.

The module's input voltage range is 100 to 240V AC. The output voltage is +30 to 40V. That is to say, LED illumination supporting 10 to 12 LED elements in series is supported. The output current is 540 mA ± 10%. Conversion efficiency is guaranteed to be 85% of the standard. It has obtained the PSE (Product Safety Electrical Appliance & Materials) standard certification of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's "Electrical Products and Materials Safety Law", and the CB certification (Certificated Body) of the National Security Standard Mutual Recognition System based on the IEC standard.
