Tesla free charging is no longer! Additional charges will be charged for electric vehicles charging over 400 kWh next year.

Tesla Motors announced on Monday that it will end its unlimited charging policy for its supercharger station worldwide. Tesla cars that are placed after January 1 next year can charge 400 kWh per year (about 1600 km), and the excess will be charged separately.

Tesla's current car models (including Model X and Model S) are free when charging with a super charging station. The company plans to implement a charging charging plan on a model that will be produced in the future.

Tesla said that existing car owners, as well as Tesla owners who completed orders before January 1 next year and completed delivery before April 1 next year, will not be affected by the adjustment of fees and can continue to enjoy free charging.

Tesla said that details of the charging plan will be announced later this year. The company emphasizes that even after the charge, Tesla's charging costs will be much lower than the cost of a comparable fuel car.

Tesla launched its super charging network around the world four years ago. With fast, convenient and free charging service, it has been well received by car owners. It can drive 270 kilometers in 30 minutes, which is 10 times the efficiency of household charging piles. Tesla has built more than 4,600 super-charged piles worldwide, covering more than 160,000 Tesla owners.
