Lenovo established AI Laboratory Dr. Xu Feiyu to join and take charge of R&D

It is reported that Xu Feiyu has been working at the German Artificial Intelligence Research Center, a well-known artificial intelligence laboratory, since 1998. Prior to joining Lenovo, she was the head of the Text Analysis Research Group at the Language Technology Lab of the Research Center and the Principal Investigator. In addition, she is deputy director of the joint research laboratory of language technology at Shanghai Jiaotong University and University of Saarland, Germany.

Xu Feiyu has extensive experience in multilingual information systems, information extraction, text mining, big data analytics, business intelligence, question answering systems, and NLP technology mobile applications. She has led more than 30 R&D projects both at home and abroad. R&D and management experience covers the complete cycle of innovation, including basic research, application and R&D, and commercialization of products. In 2014, Xu Feiyu became a research fellow at the German Artificial Intelligence Research Center. In 2012, she won the Google Focused Research Award for her achievements in natural language understanding.

Xu Feiyu is the co-founder and head of Yocoy Technologies GmbH, a subsidiary of the German Artificial Intelligence Research Center. Under her leadership, Yocoy developed more than 30 multilingual mobile assistant mobile apps for the English, Chinese, French, German, and Spanish national travel markets.
