According to the "National Standards of the People's Republic of China Announcement No. 23 of 2017" issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the National Standards Committee, the newly revised Recommended National Standard GB/T 9473-2017 "Performance Requirements for Reading and Writing Table Lamps" will be released. Implemented on April 1, 2018, will replace GB/T9473-2008.
This standard specifies the performance requirements of a reading and writing table lamp with a tungsten lamp, a fluorescent lamp or an LED as a light source and a power supply voltage not exceeding 250V. It is suitable for desk lamps for reading and writing lighting in homes, classrooms and similar places, and table lamps that claim to be "eye protection".
