Eight core sixteen threads LGA2011 Sandy Bridge-EP specifications screenshot first exposure

Eight core sixteen threads LGA2011 Sandy Bridge-EP specifications screenshot first exposure The Sandy Bridge-E high-end processor with LGA2011 interface was postponed to next year, but Sandy Bridge-EP, which is the same server version, is still expected to be released in the second half of this year. Someone had previously sold engineering samples of the Sandy Bridge-EP online, and now we have seen the screenshot of its specifications for the first time.

In accordance with the previous plan, Sandy Bridge-EP will be released in the second half of this year, named Xeon E5 series, there are two-way Xeon E5-2600 series and four-way Xeon E5-4600 series two categories. Today's exposure belongs to the former.

Both CPU-Z 1.56 and HWiNFO have been able to completely identify the specification parameters of this B0 stepping version sample: manufacturing process 32nm, package interface LGA2011 (also known as Socket R), eight core sixteen threads, original frequency 2.3 GHz (100MHz×23), energy-saving frequency 1.2GHz, dynamic acceleration frequency 2.5GHz, voltage 1.01-1.04V, level 1 cache 8×32KB instructions, 8×32KB data, level 2 cache 8×256KB, level 3 cache 20MB , QPI bus frequency 6.4GT/s, thermal design power 130W, instruction set support SSE4.1/4.2, VT-x, AES, AVX.

This specification is obviously much more powerful than Sandy Bridge-E. The latter is also up to four core eight threads, and the level three cache does not exceed 15MB.

The performance test is temporarily not available, but since someone has already got a sample, running points will not be far off.
