Guangxi may have seasonal power shortage in the second half of the year

Guangxi Power Grid Corporation recently announced the 2013 Guangxi power supply and demand situation report, and it is expected that the overall power supply and demand balance in our district will be balanced this year. Under the circumstances of normal water supply, guaranteed coal supply, and healthy operation of the unit, this year's power supply in the district can meet the needs of the region's economic and social development and residents' lives, and the overall risk of power shortage is relatively small. However, due to factors such as the centralized overhaul of thermal power units and climate anomalies, there may be seasonal and intermittent power shortages in the second half of the year.

According to the statistics of Guangxi Power Grid Corporation, as of the end of December 2012, the installed power generation capacity of Guangxi Power Grid was approximately 19.651 million kilowatts, and the installed capacity of Guangxi's outskirts was approximately 3.99 million kilowatts. Outside the area can call the total installed capacity of 23.614 million kilowatts. It is estimated that in 2013, the entire network generated an average output of 13.96 million kWh.

In terms of electricity demand, the analysis of Guangxi Power Grid Company estimated that in 2013 Guangxi's entire society used electricity demand of 125.5 billion kWh, an increase of 9% year-on-year. Among them, before the flood season in May of this year, the average load demand of Guangxi Power Grid will be adjusted to about 11.5 million kilowatts, and the average power demand will be about 14 million kilowatts during the last five months. The average electricity demand for November to December will be about 13 million kilowatts.
