Texas Instruments (TI) today announced the first video amplifier with an integrated filter that can simultaneously process analog RGB signals and digital horizontal and vertical (HV) sync signals on the same chip. Compared to traditional amplifier solutions for a wide range of applications, this new device can save up to 80% of board space, including video projectors, professional video, broadcast video, computer monitors, legacy and digital TV systems. In addition, designers can achieve higher performance and maximum flexibility through I2C programmability of all functions.

The THS7327 integrates three analog video channels with two digital channels for HV synchronization, greatly simplifying system design and reducing component count. Among them, three analog channels use unity gain buffer and can monitor the feed-through path to handle all standard video formats such as RGB, YPbPr and CVBS. In addition, designers can gain greater flexibility through the amplifier's I2C programmable features, including an integrated 2-in-1 input multiplexer for switching multiple video sources; fifth-order anti-aliasing A filter (fifth-order antialiasing filter) with multiple video standards; and input bias modes including DC, DC and level shifting, AC and AC sync tip clamps to achieve multiple The connection to the video source.

The programmable filter and input bias mode not only meets all of the common analog signal conditioning requirements required to implement the following standards, but also eliminates more than 20 external components:

• 9 MHz filter for SDTV video, including CVBS, S-Video and 480i / 576i
• 16 MHz filter for EDTV 480p / 576p and VGA • 35 MHz signal filters for HDTV 720p / 1080i signal and SVGA • 75 MHz filter for the HDTV 1080p XGA / SXGA signals • UXGA / QXGA RGB Signal, bypass filter to provide 500 MHz bandwidth and 1150 V/μs slew rate amplifier to buffer the signal

Each analog channel with an integrated programmable filter provides a unity-gain buffer for inputting signals to a video decoder or video analog-to-digital converter (ADC), as well as a separate channel without filters. Used for monitor pass-through. The functions include an output buffer having a gain of 6 dB SAG correction function, characteristic bandwidth of 500 MHz and 1300 V / μs slew rate. Using proprietary TI THS7327 compensation silicon bipolar BiCom3 - made of germanium process, capable of operating at a single supply of 2.7 V to 5 V, the negative power required by eliminating the conventional design can save up to 50% power.

The THS7327 device expands TI's broad portfolio of high-performance analog and digital signal processor (DSP) products for video applications, including DaVinciTM processors optimized for digital video systems, TVP7000/1 triple 8/ 10-bit video ADC and DLP® technology. TI is able to provide silicon, software, system expertise and support to customers' video designs to help them get to market quickly.

THS7327 video amplifier is available now, can be ordered from TI and its authorized distributors, the device is RoHS compliant 48-pin TQFP Lead (Pb) package. The suggested retail price is $3.35 in 1,000-piece quantities. Plus, you can get a complete evaluation board for just $199.

3D Industrial Printing Device

A 3D printer is a device that can "print" real 3D objects. The function is the same as the laser forming technology. It uses layered processing and overlay molding, which means that 3D entities are generated by adding materials layer by layer, which is the same as traditional material removal processing. The technology is completely different. With reference to its technical principles, it is called a "printer" because the layering process is very similar to inkjet printing.
