MCU and W5 1 0 0 interface design
In this paper, the AT 8 9 S 5 1 microcontroller is used as the microcontroller to briefly introduce the application design of the W5 1 0 0 chip. The bus interface mode is adopted to improve the data transmission rate and facilitate the interface. The bus interface mode requires the MCU to provide more I/O lines, but the connection method is simple. Only the address bus, data bus and control bus of the W5 100 chip can be connected with the corresponding bus of the AT 8 9 S 5 1 of the single chip. .
The address bus is A15 to 0, where A14 to A0 are connected to W5 1 0 0 chip address bus A14~A 0, and A15 is connected to the /CS pin of W5 1 0 0 chip. Therefore, the address of the W5 1 0 0 chip is 0 0 0 0 H ~ 7 FFF H. The microcontroller can easily access all the registers inside the W5 1 0 0 chip through its bus structure. Since the W5 1 0 0 chip integrates the Ethernet physical layer unit, the Ethernet physical layer chip such as RTL 8 2 0 in the W3 100 A chip application circuit can be omitted to simplify the circuit, save cost, and improve the circuit.
