Professionals want to be able to create floor plans quickly and easily, and new features added to iStaging's VR Maker application will be of interest to real estate agents, interior designers and event organizers.
The VR Maker function uses Apple's ARKit toolset to identify spaces, such as walls and floors, and can provide accurate measurement results. By scanning each wall in the space, floor plans can be created quickly and easily.
An accurate floor plan means that estate agents can better advertise with potential customers. Technicians can better determine the installation location of the device, organize event organizers to estimate room capacity, and interior designers can design based on the location of the furniture.
Johnny Lee, CEO of iStaging, said: "Planning is an important addition to our toolset. Virtual tours and plans are two aspects of the same experience. Our real estate clients want to be able to do all of this at once."
This feature is fully integrated into the iStaging LiveTour, allowing users to capture 360-degree images of their premises data, activities or locations and convert them to VR tours. The app is compatible with cameras such as Ricoh Theta S, Samsung Gear 360, Insta 360 and LG 360. Floor plans generated using this application can be exported as images or added to LiveTour.
The VR Maker floor plan feature is currently in beta. Users need to download VR Maker application from Apple App Store using iPhone 6 and above with ARKit function installed. Then select LiveTour to add a floor plan and start scanning from the corner of the room.
