R & S's LTE test became the first to pass GCF Forum certification

R & S's first LTE test passed GCF Forum certification

Rohde & Schwarz is the first and only provider of test and measurement equipment to successfully certify LTE test cases on the GCF Forum. The first test case package in the 3GPP test specification 36.523 was implemented on the R & S CMW500 broadband wireless communication tester and passed the certification.

LTE is the most challenging and fastest growing new technology in the field of wireless communications. The most urgent task in the industry is to develop available test equipment to support the test cases defined by 3GPP for LTE terminals.

Rohde & Schwarz certified the first test case at the 21st meeting of GCF CAG # in Sophia AnTIpolis, France, which triggered the launching gun for LTE terminal certification. This is another important milestone in the commercial operation of the LTE network.

"We are very proud to be the first test and measurement equipment manufacturer to provide LTE test cases for GCF certification," said Michael Altmann, wireless communication test product manager of Rohde & Schwarz.

The R & S CMW500 broadband wireless communication tester is a universal tester for testing the air interface performance of wireless devices. It is a conformance test platform that complies with 3GPP HSPA + and LTE test specifications and has passed GCF and PTCRB certification. Because it can support multiple technologies, it can provide the greatest return on investment, especially when running test cases that switch between different systems. In addition, it also supports the automated operation of test projects, as well as the optional use of RRM and RF radio frequency compliance test systems, which increase the flexibility and effective use of test equipment.

Rohde & Schwarz can provide a complete set of solutions for LTE testing, covering all applications from R & D testing, conformance testing to network deployment phase testing.

Piezoelectric Ceramic Ring

Applications: ultrasonic vibration tranducer for inkjet printer

Vibration mechanism of inkjet printer:

Generally, it is composed of piezoelectric ceramics and driving rods. By high-frequency electric excitation, piezo ceramics produce high-frequency ultrasonic vibration (above 60 kHz or higher), which is transmitted to the driving rod and generates high-frequency micro-displacement (back and forth expansion) at its front end.

Piezo ceramics components features :

1. High vibration amplitude and can withstand higher power.
2. The product has high reliability, strong maintainability, and is not easy to break down or off-line.
3. The frequency can be adjusted in a wide range, generally within the range of 10KHz.
