Heraeus introduces new technology for foldable touch panels at Touch Taiwan

At the Touch Taiwan exhibition held on August 24-26 this year, Heraeus will introduce a new touch panel patterned on Clevios conductive polymer film by DFR (Dry-Film Resist). Process. The parameter settings and process windows of the entire Clevios touch panel process are now available to customers in their production. Clevios films and sensors can easily withstand more than 300,000 bends with a radius of curvature of less than 1 mm without damage.

The second innovation at the Heraeus booth is a 7-inch Clevios conductive polymer flexible touch panel based on an ultra-thin flexible polyimide substrate. Polyimide curing is Heraeus' specialty light source business, and its custom fast infrared curing technology enables the fastest and most efficient curing of ultra-thin polyimide substrate films, which are next-generation flexible displays and Key materials for touch panel substrates. Infrared radiators perform non-contact heat transfer with extremely high efficiency. The curing process is completed in a few minutes compared to a conventional hot blast stove, rather than the previous hours. In addition, pollution is reduced to a minimum due to the absence of air flow. Infrared radiators that precisely match the absorption wavelength of the material can be heated more quickly. The carbon medium wave radiator satisfies the absorption spectrum requirements of polyimide, enabling fast infrared curing and drying.
