Detailed description of the pin functions of the MSP430G2553

The Texas Instruments MSP430 family of ultra-low-power microcontrollers includes a variety of devices featuring different peripheral sets for a variety of applications. This architecture, combined with five low-power modes, is optimized for extended battery life in portable measurement applications. The device features a powerful 16-bit RISC CPU, 16-bit registers and a constant generator that helps maximize coding efficiency. The Digitally Controlled Oscillator (DCO) wakes up from low power mode to run mode in less than 1μs. The MSP430G2553 is very widely used.

The MSP430G2x13 and MSP430G2x53 families are ultra-low-power mixed-signal microcontrollers with built-in 16-bit timers, up to 24 touch-sensing I/O pins, a versatile analog comparator, and universal serial communication The built-in communication capabilities of the interface. In addition, members of the MSP430G2x53 family also have a 10-bit analog-to-digital (A/D) converter. See Table 1 for details on the configuration.

Typical applications include low-cost sensor systems that capture analog signals, convert them to digital values, and then process the data for display or transfer to the host system.

Flange And Fitting

A flange can also be a plate or ring to form a rim at the end of a pipe when fastened to the pipe. A blind flange is a plate for covering or closing the end of a pipe. A flange joint is a connection of pipes, where the connecting pieces have flanges by which the parts are bolted together.

Although the word flange generally refers to the actual raised rim or lip of a fitting, many flanged plumbing fittings are themselves known as 'flanges':

There are many different flange standards to be found worldwide. To allow easy functionality and interchangeability, these are designed to have standardised dimensions. Common world standards include ASA/ASME (USA), PN/DIN (European), BS10 (British/Australian), and JIS/KS (Japanese/Korean). In the USA, ANSI stopped publishing B16.5 in 1996, and the standard is ASME B16.5
