The new AI algorithm calculates the physiological age of people

A new study shows that artificial intelligence (AI) technology can be used to detect the age of a person's cells, and a personalized medical plan can be developed to help people realize their longevity.

Scientists have developed a "simple and inexpensive" AI algorithm that calculates the physiological age of people and verifies that certain lifestyle changes and drugs can increase longevity and health.

This algorithm, called "Aging.AI", has provided accurate results for 130,000 people based on people's blood samples.

New AI algorithm detects cell age and helps people improve their lives

A new study led by artificial intelligence company Insilico Medicine says AI technology can determine a person's risk of age-related diseases such as cancer and heart disease.

Dr. Morten Scheibye Knudsen, a professor at the University of Copenhagen's Center for Healthy Ageing, said: "AI is as accurate as predicting a person's age, just as you look at a person's photo and guessing his age."

It is worth noting that a person's physical age - or "biological clock" - may be different from the actual age.

For example, a 65-year-old healthy and active woman may be physically similar to a 50-year-old woman. This means that her physical age is 55 years old.

The study was published in the journal Gerontology: Biological Sciences. The study validated the "Aging.AI" algorithm on a series of blood samples and found that the algorithm was able to determine a person's biological age based on blood samples.

According to the study, doctors measured parameters such as cholesterol levels and inflammation for each blood sample.

The study also showed that if the algorithm found that people were younger than their actual age, they were more likely to live longer.

She said: "Now, we don't know how long we can live, just guesses and assumptions. But we also know that age is the biggest risk factor for a wide range of diseases such as cancer, dementia and cardiovascular disease."

The researchers said that the "Aging.AI" algorithm can also be used to assess the effects of drugs and other medical methods on a patient's health by measuring the patient's physiological age before and after treatment.

Currently, using AI technology to improve people's health is a major trend.

Gene detection company 23AndMe is the first company to sell a US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved DNA test kit to determine the risk of obesity, diabetes and heart disease.

This month, the company launched a weight loss study to determine if the genes affect people's diet and exercise. In this study, customers were asked to follow a personalized diet or exercise program and complete a predictive model within three months.

Usually, experts determine the physiological age of a person by measuring the telomere of the chromosome (the length of the end of the chromosome protection). In general, people with longer telomeres have a longer life span.

Telomeres usually shorten with age, but studies have shown that poor health habits such as smoking, alcohol abuse, and lack of physical activity can speed up telomere shortening.

Some people age faster, regardless of their lifestyle—a study published in the August issue of Ageing found that a person's circadian clock also affects the subtle chemical changes that occur within the receptor.

Studies have shown that exercise and foods rich in antioxidant vitamins and minerals can slow down biological aging.

A study published in The Lancet Oncology in 2013 found that eating more fruits and vegetables and low-carb foods can extend a person's life.

Ternary Series

Ternary polymer lithium battery refers to a lithium battery whose positive electrode material uses a ternary positive electrode material of lithium nickel cobalt manganese or lithium nickel cobalt aluminate. There are many kinds of positive electrode materials for lithium ion batteries, mainly lithium cobalt oxide, lithium manganate, Lithium nickelate, ternary materials, lithium iron phosphate, etc. At present, the lithium battery of ternary material has replaced the lithium cobalt oxide battery that was widely used before, and is widely used in the field of notebook batteries.
