Ford unveiled a "FeelTheView" smart car window prototype

According to foreign media reports, Ford has launched a "FeelTheView" smart car window prototype, so that blind or visually impaired people can feel the landscape image around the vehicle by touching the hand. The emergence of this technology may cause blind or visually impaired people to “appreciate” the scenery along the way during the ride.

The function is also extremely easy to operate, enabling one-button operation by simply pressing the release button. The Ford "Feel the View" window looks like a digital camera in the windshield to create a monochrome image (monochrome images). Ford also uses special LED lights to reproduce such images on the side windows of the vehicle, while providing vibrations of different intensities, up to 255 grades (gradaTIon). The window is designed to create a new "blind language" with vibrations of different intensities.

Thanks to the new “Braille”, blind or visually impaired people on the vehicle can touch the window with their hands and feel the image, creating a view of the car outside the car through the touch of the hand.

The Feel The View window was developed by Ford Italy, the communications agency GTB Roma, and the startup Aedo, a company focused on providing visual technology solutions for people with visual impairment.

It is said that the sample machine has achieved very good results in the test. However, Ford has not provided further information and has not disclosed the commercialization plan for the product.
