Jintan Medical Instrument Factory has developed an intelligent spirometer that uses an infrared-conducting vane gas flow sensor, a high-performance, low-power microprocessor system and an AC-DC power supply circuit. It can measure lung function parameters such as vital capacity VC, tidal volume VT, minute maximum ventilation MVV, first second vital capacity FEV1. With a measurement accuracy of ±5% or less, the product is also small in size and easy to carry, suitable for field first aid and diagnosis.
The first problem to be solved in developing this product is the measurement of vital capacity. Most of the foreign lung instruments use pressure sensors. Although the pressure sensors have high precision, the manufacturing process is complicated and the cost is quite expensive. Jintan Medical Instrument Factory adopts infrared-transmitted wing-type flow sensor. The fins are made of ultra-thin stainless steel sheets and precision mechanically punched. The volume is small and the rotation is flexible. This sensor accurately detects very weak airflow.
The second problem to be solved is the processing of the sensing signal. The signal detected by the sensor is an analog signal, which must be processed by signal processing such as detection, filtering, modulation, etc., and converted into a digital signal, and finally transmitted to the LED tube for display on the panel. We have selected a single-chip micro-processing system with good performance and low power consumption, and equipped with precise rectification and filtering circuits, with high line integration, stable performance and accurate signal processing.
The third is to solve, the original scale display data, due to display and human factors often cause large reading errors, therefore, we chose high-brightness LED display technology, the measured value is directly displayed on the panel, intuitive and accurate, Easy to read. At the same time, in order to facilitate the medical staff and patients to find and analyze in the future, we also designed a data serial printout interface, which can be connected to a serial printer to print data on paper.
The fourth solution is to supply power. The instrument adopts AC and DC power supply, and the AC adopts 220V50HZ mains power, which is suitable for indoor work. It can also be used with DC. The instrument has built-in 6V rechargeable battery and can work continuously for more than 8 hours. It is suitable for field detection and pulmonary diagnosis. The instrument chassis is a standard plastic chassis, which is small in size, light in weight and easy to carry.
After design, trial production, through the test of the prototype, the test is as follows:
1. Visual inspection: The surface of the instrument is smooth and burr-free. The panel is clearly marked and meets the requirements of the company standard and GB9706.1. Good sealing performance (pipe crepe joint treatment is inflated in water, no bubbles are generated).
2, hand test: After the gas management contact is connected, pull hard (the force of the pipe thread joint does not exceed 1KG for 3 minutes), no looseness and shedding.
3. Detecting lung function measurement parameters with a bell-type gas flow meter that meets the requirements, the error is not more than ± 5%, in line with design requirements.
After testing, the instrument can realize the detection of human vital capacity VC, tidal volume VT, minute maximum ventilation MVV, first second vital capacity FEV1, and the test accuracy is within ± 5%. Easy to carry.
