LED Taiwan factory Taigu will increase its brightness in Q3 by 5~10%

Due to the price increase of sapphire substrates and organometallic gases, LED epitaxial Taiwan factory Taigu (3339) will increase the price of high-brightness blue LED products from Q3 2010, with a price increase of about 5~10%.

Taigu continues to add new capacity. Taigu’s chairman, Liu Sanbao, pointed out that the new MOCVD machine is mainly installed in Nantou No. 3 Plant. The number of units put into production in June is 38, and it is expected to reach 43 units in September. The MOCVD will be expected to reach 46 units.

Liu Sanbao pointed out that the Taigu Q3 is full of orders, and the current production capacity is 60,000 pieces. It is estimated that there will be 80,000 pieces by the end of the year. The brightness of the blue chip can reach 2,000~2,300mcd, which can meet the high demand of LED TV.

Liu Sanbao also pointed out that the fifth plant is expected to be completed in Q1 2011.
