Veeco Instruments Inc., a manufacturer of organometallic chemical vapor deposition systems (MOCVD), issued a press release at 4 pm on the 20th of the US East, announcing its TurboDisc K465i GaN for high-volume production of light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Gallium nitride, GaN) MOCVD equipment has been certified by the crystal. Veeco also pointed out on April 26 that Q2's business status is still very strong so far, and has already provided multiple equipment order quotations to a large number of customers; in fact, several important Asian customers have placed high orders in April. The company is increasing production capacity to meet customer demand, and plans to increase shipments to 70 MOCVD equipment or above this quarter, and further increase equipment shipments to more than 100 and 120 units in Q3 and Q4.
