British new technology efficient lighting LED lamp life of 60 years

According to the British Daily Mail, a revolution in lighting is quietly taking place, and traditional light bulbs and energy-saving and environmentally friendly light bulbs will compete fiercely. At present, researchers at the University of Cambridge in the UK have developed an inexpensive light-emitting diode (LED) bulb that emits bright light with less power. It costs only £2 and can last for 60 years.

Although this LED bulb is smaller than the cents, it is 12 times more efficient than a conventional tungsten bulb and three times more efficient than a fluorescent low-energy bulb. It is different from current energy-saving bulbs and can be fully illuminated directly when the power is turned on. The UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council believes that the use of new LED bulbs will reduce the power consumption of home lighting by three-quarters. If such a light bulb is installed in each home and office, it will reduce the annual electricity consumption by 20% of the total electricity consumption to 5%.

In early January this year, the British "Daily Mail" reported that people began to pay attention to the use of energy-saving light bulbs, many stores stopped storing traditional 100-watt incandescent bulbs. This has caused panic buying by many consumers. The British government said that the use of energy-saving light bulbs can reduce the annual release of 5 million tons of carbon dioxide.

They used an artificial semiconductor material, gallium nitride, in LED bulbs to make light-emitting diodes. It has been used to make bicycle lights, cell phone lights, camera flashes, etc. due to the advantages of inexpensive LED size and brightness compared to conventional light bulbs.

However, the current manufacturing cost of LEDs is too expensive to use, because the materials used to manufacture LEDs must be derived from "sapphire fels", which means that the cost of producing LED bulbs will be higher, about 20 GBP. At present, scientists at the Gallium Nitride Research Center at the University of Cambridge in the UK have come up with effective solutions. They will use silicon chips to make LEDs, which will greatly reduce the cost. RFMD, the state of Durham, UK, is now in the process of manufacturing the prototype, and the first LED bulb is expected to be on the market within two years.

Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter adopts switching technology to fulfill media conversion. It complies with IEEE802.3, IEEE802.3u, IEEE802.3z and IEEE802.3ab standards. Presently it supports two types of media network connections: 10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T, and 1000Base-SX, inter-converting electrical signals of 10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T twisted pairs with optical signals of 1000Base-SX. It extends the transmission distance of network from 100m via copper cable to 500m via fiber optical cable. It supports transmission in multi-mode dual fiber, single mode dual fiber, single mode single fiber.
