It seems that Samsung's research on the MicroLED screen is relatively smooth. According to reports, Samsung will display its first MicroLED-based TV during the CES next year, with a maximum size of 150 inches.

MicroLED is considered to be a new generation of panel display technology to replace OLED, and giants such as Samsung, LG and Apple are developing.

Not long ago, Apple was exposed to the MicroLED team formed in Taiwan, and the public focus was not smooth. It has reduced the intensity of resources and relied more on the US team and TSMC.

According to the reporter, Samsung will bring the first Micro LED TV at the CES 2018 exhibition held in Las Vegas in January next year.

Among them, the largest size is 150 inches, and mass production will be put on the market that year.

The data shows that the MicroLED can make the LED unit less than 100μm compared with the OLED, thus solving the problem of burning the screen and having a longer life. At the same time, the module thickness can be thinner, lower power consumption, brightness, screen response time, resolution, and display effects are far superior to OLED.

In addition, when a plastic substrate is introduced, it is quite easy to make a flexible screen.

In fact, Sony first introduced a 55-inch MicroLED TV in 2012, but it has not been commercially available yet.
