Sodium-based bentonite waterproof blanket anti-static water pressure tester
Experiment Method
1. At the edge of the bentonite waterproof blanket, mark a circular arc with a diameter equal to that of the permeable stone used in the South Type 55 permeation instrument. Use a dropper to drip an appropriate amount of water around this arc.
2. Place the permeable stone at the bottom of the South 55 type permeation instrument. Lay a layer of quartz sand on top of the permeable stone, then place the sample on the sand. Fill the space around the sample with bentonite powder until it reaches the same height as the sample. Cover the sample with fine sand, then add another permeable stone and a top cover. Tighten the nut and open the pressure valve to apply proper pressure to the water supply chamber.
3. Pressure Setting: After turning on the power, press the "Back" button to enter the setting mode. Press the "Shift" button, then use the "+" and "-" keys to adjust the value. Once set, press "Back" again to save the settings. After adjusting the lower limit, press the set key to exit. The lower limit should rise to 0.1 MPa after one hour.
4. Time Reset: To restart the experiment, hold down the "--" button without releasing it. After about 10 seconds, the time will reset to 0 hours. Be careful not to accidentally press the "!" key.
5. Time Review: Press the "--" key to switch between hours, minutes, and seconds. After 30 seconds, the display will return to the pressure reading.
6. Zero Adjustment: If the system shows no pressure but doesn’t return to zero, press the zero-setting button once. Do not press the clear button when pressure is applied; wait for the pressure to release before resetting to zero.
7. When all air has been expelled from the permeator through the exhaust pipe, immediately close the valve to prevent backflow.
8. Keep the system under pressure for 30 minutes to allow the sample to fully expand. Then, every hour, open the pressurized valve to increase the pressure by 0.1 MPa until the desired pressure is reached. If no water flows out from the outlet during the test, the sample is considered to have passed the hydrostatic pressure resistance test. Otherwise, it is deemedä¸åˆæ ¼ (unqualified).
9. Calculate the results according to the relevant standards.
After completing the experiment, open the exhaust and drain valves, clean the surface of the equipment, and dry the test chamber and frame. Apply anti-rust grease to protect the components. If the equipment is not going to be used for an extended period, open the drain valve located on the lower right side of the main unit to completely drain any remaining water in the system. This helps prevent damage from freezing in cold conditions.
