First, the Maintenance Principles

1. Before each start-up, check for oil leaks in key areas such as oil pipes, control valves, fuel tank, and small piston. Ensure all bolts are tightened and electrical connections are intact. Regular inspections help maintain component integrity.

2. Allow a warm-up time of at least 15 minutes before starting operations.

3. After completing each test, lower the piston to its lowest position to prevent damage or misalignment.

4. Clean up any debris after shutdown and perform anti-rust treatment on the testing table to extend its lifespan.

5. After prolonged use, schedule regular maintenance: apply molybdenum disulfide grease to steel plates weekly, lubricate screws twice a month, inspect chain tightness every six months, and add molybdenum extreme pressure grease to the vulcanization system. Apply lubricating oil to sliding parts and anti-rust oil to rust-prone areas to ensure cleanliness and prevent corrosion.

6. Avoid exposing the equipment to high temperatures, excessive humidity, dust, corrosive substances, or water, which can cause damage.

7. Replace hydraulic oil after 2000 hours of operation or cumulative usage to maintain performance.

8. Conduct annual checks to ensure everything is functioning properly.

9. Keep a record of all operations and maintenance activities for reference and troubleshooting.

10. Always follow the startup sequence outlined in the "Material Practices for Material Testing Machines." Once the machine is turned on, allow it to warm up for 15 minutes. Wait for the electrical signal to stabilize before proceeding with the test.

Second, Computer Part

11. Avoid installing unnecessary software on the computer, as this may interfere with the proper operation of the testing software.

12. Before starting the machine, verify that the connection between the computer and the host, as well as the power plug and socket, are correctly connected and secure. Only proceed if everything is properly connected.

13. Protect the computer from virus infections by using reliable antivirus software and avoiding unknown files or external drives.

Third, Test Part

1. After starting the machine, preheat it for 15 minutes. Only begin testing once the equipment is stable.

2. If the machine was recently powered off, wait at least 10 seconds before turning it on again to avoid damaging internal components.

3. Never plug or unplug power cords or signal cables during operation, as this could damage control components.

4. During testing, avoid pressing buttons on the hydraulic panel, operation box, or test software to prevent unintended actions.

5. Do not touch the device or cables during testing, as this may affect data accuracy and lead to errors.

6. Select the appropriate fixture based on the test conditions to avoid damaging the fixture or the equipment.

7. In case of a power outage, immediately turn off the machine and wait until the power stabilizes before restarting. Frequent power cycling can damage internal components or the computer.

8. The operator should remain near the equipment during testing. If leaving, always turn off the machine to prevent accidents.

9. Regular maintenance helps protect the equipment from environmental factors like heat, humidity, dust, and moisture, which can cause long-term damage.

10. Avoid forcing irregular samples through the test process, as this can cause damage to the equipment.

Fourth, Host Maintenance

1. Apply anti-rust oil to fixtures to protect them from corrosion.

2. Avoid placing heavy or hard objects on the test bench surface to prevent damage.

3. Clean the equipment thoroughly after each test to maintain its condition.

4. Apply a thin layer of molybdenum disulfide extreme pressure grease (MoS2) to the sliding surfaces of the steel plate and lining plate every week.

5. Check the tightness of the jaw screws before each test. Tighten them if they are loose to ensure proper clamping.

6. Regularly check the tension of the sprocket. If it becomes loose, re-tighten the tensioner.

7. Lubricate all moving parts of the testing machine to reduce wear. For example, apply MoS2 grease to the chain transmission mechanism and lead screw, and coat the test bench surface with anti-rust oil.

8. Before each test, check the large nut connecting the light bar and the screw. If it’s loose, remove the top wire and tighten it promptly. Be careful not to over-tighten; leave a slight gap for smooth rotation. Generally, you can loosen it by 1/4 turn after tightening.

Fifth, Hydraulic System Maintenance

1. If the equipment will be unused for an extended period, make sure to turn off the main unit. If in standby mode, the transfer switch should be in the “loading” position. Leaving it in the “fast reverse” position keeps the electromagnetic reversing valve energized, which can shorten component life.

2. Regularly inspect the hydraulic system for leaks. Load the equipment to 80% of its full scale and hold for 10 minutes. If any oil leakage is detected, replace the affected hydraulic and sealing components immediately.

3. Monitor the hydraulic oil level by observing the cursor on the hydraulic source. If the oil level drops below 3/4 of the mark, refill it to the upper limit of the cursor.

4. Over time, the viscosity of hydraulic oil changes due to usage. Replace the oil and filter elements after 2000 hours of operation per year or cumulatively. Before replacement, drain the old oil completely, clean the tank with kerosene, and then reinstall the oil drain plug.

5. Always use an air filter when refilling hydraulic oil. Contaminated oil can severely damage the hydraulic system.

6. Replace the entire hydraulic system’s seal assembly periodically. It is recommended to replace moving part seals every three years and joint part seals annually.

7. Verify that the temperature relay is set correctly. At the factory setting, when the oil temperature reaches 40°C, the radiator will automatically activate.

Sixth, Control System Maintenance

1. Regularly check the DCS controller’s wiring for secure connections. If any are loose, tighten them immediately to prevent malfunctions.

2. Turn off the DCS controller and computer if the machine will not be used for an extended period.

3. Confirm that the control system, indicators, buttons, operation boxes, and fixtures are all working properly before beginning any test.
