Through the implementation of the action plan, the standardization of the Internet of Things has achieved remarkable results. The international standards of the Internet of Things led by our country continue to expand, which strongly supports the development of the Internet of Things industry.

The overall goal of the technology R & D special plan is: By 2015, break through key technologies in smart sensors, IoT big data processing and intelligent information management, industry application software, etc., promote IoT technology and next-generation mobile communications, cloud computing, The next generation of Internet, satellite communication and other technologies will integrate and develop, accelerate the IoT technology innovation system and capacity building, cultivate and form China's independent IoT industry chain, and comprehensively enhance the core competitiveness of China's IoT industry.

Jin Dongbin, deputy chief engineer of China Telecom, once said that the domestic Internet of Things industry market size will reach 365 billion yuan in 2012, an increase of 38.6% over the previous year. Market segments such as M2M, RFID, Internet of Things related software development and integrated services have entered a stable development period. In the future, the Internet of Things will develop in the direction of scale, collaboration and intelligence. Jin Dongbin predicts that the domestic Internet of Things market will reach 750 billion yuan by 2015, with a compound annual growth rate of more than 30%.

Smart cities deserve attention

The industry believes that as an important foothold for operators to promote the Internet of Things, China's smart city construction has generally entered the specific implementation stage of planning, design and project construction from the concept and technology exploration stage.

Recently, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development announced the second batch of 103 smart city pilots, plus the first batch of 90 pilot cities. At present, the number of smart city pilots nationwide has expanded to 202. The China Securities Journal reporter also learned that the “Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Healthy Development of Smart Cities” led by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has been reported to the State Council, and the creation of a national pilot model city for smart city construction is in progress.

On August 14, the State Council issued "Several Opinions on Promoting Information Consumption and Expanding Domestic Demand", proposing that by 2015, China's information consumption will exceed 3.2 trillion yuan, with an average annual growth rate of more than 20%. Vigorously promote the rapid development of triple play, intelligent terminals, software services, information services, e-commerce and other fields. All these provide a good information environment for the construction of smart cities, and smart cities will also drive the total amount of information consumption in China.

Lv Jiangfeng, an analyst at CITIC Construction Investment, believes that the urbanization rate of China's permanent population will exceed 50% in 2012, and that by 2030 China's urbanization rate will reach 65%, meaning that urbanization will become a new impetus for social and economic development after industrialization.

Huabao Securities believes that listed companies that conduct business around the construction of smart cities will become investment highlands during the "12th Five-Year Plan" period, and subdivisions such as smart transportation, smart medical care, digital urban management, smart buildings, and smart environmental protection will benefit. Companies in fields such as geographic information are also joining the ranks of beneficiaries, and the scope of beneficiary companies will be expanding.

Analysts believe that the A-share market is once again welcoming heavy profits, and related listed companies will directly benefit. Among A-share companies, Yuanwang ’s UHF RFID has repeatedly won the bid in the pilot work of the Ministry of Agriculture, and aerospace information has made achievements in the construction of platforms for agriculture and ecological monitoring. Other A-share IoT concept companies include: Xiamen Port, Xiamen Cinda, New World, Furi Electronics, New Beiyang, Huatian Technology, Key Bridge Communications, National Technology and Willtech. And other related sector concept stocks will also benefit to varying degrees.
