The 3-axis ADXL362 MEMS digital accelerometer consumes less than 2 μA at 100 Hz output data rate and 270 nA in slow sample wake-up mode, an order of magnitude lower than competing MEMS accelerometers. The built-in motion detection function of the MEMS accelerometer can distinguish different types of motion and prevent the sensor from accidentally starting the system, saving battery life.
