How do we distinguish between AC contactors and DC contactors?

1. The core of the AC contactor is made up of silicon steel sheets insulated from each other and made into a double E shape; the core of the DC contactor is made of a whole piece of soft iron, mostly U-shaped.
2. Most of the AC contactors use the grid arc extinguishing device, but the DC contactor uses the magnetic blower and arc extinguishing device.
3. AC contactor Because the coil is connected to AC power, in order to eliminate the vibration and noise generated by the electromagnet, a short-circuit ring is embedded in the static iron core, but the DC contactor is not needed.
4. The number of turns of the AC contactor is small, the resistance is small, and the number of turns of the DC contactor is large, and the resistance is large.
5. The AC contactor has a large starting current and is not suitable for frequent starting and disconnecting. The operating frequency is up to 600 times/h, and the DC contactor can be operated up to 2000 times/h.
6. AC contactor is used to disconnect AC circuit, and DC contactor is used to disconnect DC circuit.
7. The use of AC contactors is low, and the cost of DC contactors is high.
