The STEP7 standard components consist of a symbol editor, SIMATIC manager, network and communication configuration, hardware configuration, multi-language user program editing, and hardware diagnostics.
The symbol editor is used to establish the signals used in the program, the symbolic names of the logic blocks, the data types and comments; the SIMATIC Manager is used for centralized management of the project; the network and communication configuration is used to establish the communication between the programming computer and the plc system; Configure the correspondence between the actual installation of hardware such as I/O modules, interface modules, and function modules in the system and the addresses and management data used in the software; multi-language user program editing is used to select different PLC programs. The design language is used for PLC program editing; the hardware diagnostic function is used to display the working status information of each component hardware in the PLC system.
