Targeting the new display market, BOE intends to raise 46 billion re-investment panels

BOE announced on the evening of the 24th that it plans to issue additional funds of 46 billion yuan for the issuance of A shares, mainly to the BOE 8.5 generation oxide TFT production line, Ordos 5.5 generation AMOLED production line, Chongqing 8.5 generation new semiconductor display production line and other projects under construction, and In Hefei's newly planned touch screen production line, it seized the new display strategy and at the same time met the huge market demand of global touch screen.

The issuance is a non-public targeted issuance and will be issued to specific targets within six months of the approval of the China Securities Regulatory Commission. According to the announcement, among the targeted investors, Beijing State-owned Capital Management Center will subscribe for the shares issued by the equity of Beijing 8.5-generation line. Hefei Jianxiang will subscribe for the shares with a total of RMB 6 billion in cash and credits. The subscription was made with cash of 6.3 billion yuan. In addition to the above three strategic investors, there will be other market institutions involved in the subscription.

It can be seen from the investment of raised funds that BOE's private placement is aimed at the huge market formed by the rapid growth of ultra-high-definition, oxide, touch screen and other demand, which is conducive to its overall competitiveness and investment value.

According to the industry, since 2012, the global industry has experienced a mild recovery: in terms of large size, the sales of LCD TVs in 2012 reached 206 million, and the average size continued to grow. The trend of high-definition further reflected the growth of demand; in terms of small and medium size, mobile phone terminals turned to large screens.
