Philips launches the first commercial OLED table lamp to be launched next year

A few days ago, Philips announced that it will launch the first commercial OLED table lamp, Moorea. Philips hopes that this technology will benefit desk consumers.

The Moorea lamp is simple and elegant in shape. The base and the two OLED panels are connected by a piece of spring steel. This alloy is not susceptible to plastic deformation when subjected to heavy loads (no matter how it is bent, it can always be bounced back). . A black line can be used to adjust the position of the steel sheet (somewhat similar to adjusting the blinds) so that it faces the table or toward the house. This line contains the power cord, so the desk lamp no longer requires an additional power cord.

Designer Lodge said that the shape of the Moreya table lamp was inspired by the green glass brass lamp on the lawyer's desk that can often be seen in the movie. "I need to use at least two OLED panels to give the desktop the right light. When I put the two OLED panels together, the ratio immediately reminds me of the banker's desk lamp."

It is understood that Morelia will be available for sale in mid-2013.
